Madhuri began her career in the film Abodh, although it was not until Tezaab in 1988 that Madhuri achieved national fame, putting her in premiere films such as Ram Lakhan, Tridev, Parinda, and Kishen Kanhaiya, where she portrayed a childless midwife to great acclaim.
